Sharekhan

Add and validate your Sharekhan account in QUANT LEVELS.

Sharekhan support is new - orders, positions, funds and holdings are built from Sharekhan's official docs, but the login browser automation is unverified against a live account and may need correction on first real use. If anything fails, contact support with the exact error shown.

Step 1 - Get your API Key and Secret

  1. Register as a Sharekhan API developer and create an app to get your API Key and API Secret.
  2. Your API Secret must be exactly 32 characters - Sharekhan's login encryption requires this.

Step 2 - Set up TOTP

  1. Make sure TOTP (2FA) is registered on your Sharekhan trading account.
  2. During registration, choose "enter key manually" instead of scanning the QR code to get the plain-text TOTP Secret Key.
  3. Note your login Password as well - you'll need both.

Step 3 - Add the account

  1. Go to Accounts → Add New Account.
  2. Select Broker as Sharekhan.
  3. Enter your Sharekhan Client ID, Password, the TOTP Secret Key from Step 2, and the API Key / API Secret from Step 1.
  4. Save.

FAQ

My login keeps failing

Sharekhan's login automation is unverified as of this feature's launch - contact support with the exact error message so it can be corrected for your account.

Holdings show no LTP or blank rows

Sharekhan's Holdings API doesn't return a scrip code or live price for each holding - this is a real gap in what Sharekhan's own API provides, not a bug. Quantity and average holding price still display correctly.

A rejected or cancelled order shows the wrong status

Sharekhan's docs never showed a worked example of a rejected/cancelled order, so those two status spellings are a best-effort guess - contact support with the order's raw status if you see this.
